Hey there, I’m Conor!
I am a creative, solutions-focused UX Designer with experience in UX/UI design, management, user testing, collaboration, product development, and research and evaluation.
Over the years, I’ve worn many different hats. With a Bachelor’s in music performance and composition, I strive for both beauty and simplicity in my designs. While studying the scores of composers such as George Crumb and Mark Applebaum, I was compelled to consider the design of a score. Creating an unprecedented layout of musical score that remains intuitive to the reader fascinated me. Since graduating university, I have spent years working as a brewer in the Portland area, which has taught me firsthand the value of understanding a user’s needs. In a saturated market, such as the Portland beer scene, one must truly understand what the user wants in order to make an impact.
My Thoughts on Design
As a UX Researcher and Designer, I’m passionate about creating sincere user experiences so that the user feels connected and validated while interacting with a product. I am a champion for data-driven decisions which reflect the needs of the user. I use ethnographic methods to explore the depths of a problem. Only after extensive research and empathizing, can we design a pleasing and intuitive experience. I am passionate about interaction design and information architecture.
When I’m not working, you can find me camping with my partner and dog, fly fishing, or jamming with some buds.
